Velma Lupo Education Achievement Scholarship

Lady Velma Lupo
Sis. Velma Madison Lupo, former First Lady and Co-Founder of Faith Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, was born in Arkansas. With over 58 years of experience in education across both private and public sectors, I have dedicated my life teaching and uplifting others. My academic journey-spanning Philander Smith College, the University of Texas at Austin, Texas Woman's University, and other institutions has been shaped by my personal experiences and deep passion for empowering students particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. My mission has always been to help them reach their educational goals and open doors to a brighter future. One of my greatest aspirations has been to establish scholarships that remove financial barriers allowing the next generation of leaders and change makers to rise and thrive. Guided by the scripture Philippians 4:13. "I can do all things through Christ who give me strength." I remain committed to promoting education, leadership, and social responsibility in alignment with the core values of our church. "As we invest in the dreams of our future scholars, we honor Mom's legacy and will continue the work she so passionately began lifting others, one student at a time, through the LOVE of Christ and the POWER of education. "NO child left behind."

Forever 28 Education Achievement Scholarship

Ms. Alexis Mikal McCoy
The Forever 28 Scholarship was created in loving memory of Alexis Mikal McCoy, who tragically lost her life in a car accident in 2023 at the age of 28. Alexis was a cherished daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and aunt with a bright future and a heart full of dreams. In honor of her life and the impact she made on those around her, her family established this scholarship to help a deserving student pursue their own goals and aspirations. Through this award, we hope to keep Alexis's spirit alive and celebrate the legacy she leaves behind.
